The Fast of the Nativity (Advent) on Friday 25th November 2005 and its 43 days this year ends with the Nativity Feast on Saturday 7th of January 2006, may the Lord God accept our fasting and prayers.

Arrival of His Grace Bishop Antony to UK after a visit lasts for two weeks to Egypt.

The diocese published a book with the co-operation of St. Paul Monastery at the Red Sea “Egypt”, about the life of the Monk Priest Father Samaan St. Paul. Father Samaan served at the Church of St. George and St. Athanasius “Newcastle - UK”.

The diocese’s youth (44) returned to UK from the Youth Conference in Germany which took place on 26th - 29th of August and 800 of European youth attended. The conference motto (Blessed are the peacemakers “Matthew 5:9”). The diocese’s youth presented a play about the life of Father Samaan St. Paul.

Manchester members visited St. Athanasius Monastery on Saturday 21st October. They spent a spiritual day and attended the Holy Mass followed by a spiritual talk with the monastery’s priest.

St. Mina’s church members “Cahir” in the process of buying a land (3.5 acres) to build the church, and required price is £200,000 sterling pounds.

England

Newcastle
His Grace Bishop Mossa spent a spiritual day with the youth finished with a lecture from His Grace about “The Holy Life”. His Grace Bishop Mossa and His Grace Bishop Antony prayed the vespers prayers and the Holy Mass next day with the diocese’s priests and prayed the funeral of Father Samaan St. Paul, also attended the service some of the priests from around the United Kingdom.

Kent
His Grace Bishop Antony blessed the show for St. Athanasius Monastery which hosted by St. Michael and St. Bishoy Church, on 5th – 6th November. May the Lord God bless everyone who contributed to accomplish this blessed work!

His Grace Bishop Antony nominated Fr. Angelos El-Antony to attend “East and West Monastic meetings” in Minister Abbey (Margate). Various churches and monasteries representatives attended the meeting. The meeting topic is “St. Macarious teachings and letters”.

Most of this meeting attendees visited St. Michael and St. Bishoy church and attended the Coptic Holy Mass followed by an open day and become acquainted with the church members. The Sunday school children presented a Coptic and English hymns and songs followed by a presentation from Fr. Angelos El-Antony about the spirituality of the Holy Mass in the Coptic Orthodox Church.
